It's been a while since I've updated the blog so I will feel you in on what has been going on the last few weeks!! We went for our first ultrasound when I was 7 weeks and got to see our little peanut!! The heartbeat was 123 bmp and everything looked great!! At the end of that week the morning sickness hit me head on!! We went back to the doctor at 10 weeks where we got to hear the heartbeat for the first time!! I must say I think we both had tears in our eyes when we heard our little one for the first time!! The heartbeat was 173 bpm!! The old wives tale says it could be girl with a heart rate that high!! We shall see soon!!! My morning sickness was still going strong and I had not gained any weight... but I was just looking to get into the second trimester!!! Our next doctor's visit was at 14 weeks... we got to hear the heartbeat again which was 166 (still high!!) and the doctor said everything was looking great!! I had gained 3 lbs. which the doctor said was right on target. My morning sickness has eased off quite a bit so I'm praying it is going to make it's way out of here for good very soon!! My pants definantly will not button anymore but thanks to my belly band I can still wear most of them!! We go back on June 14th to find out if we will be having a little girl or boy... my gut is telling me girl but we will just have to see!! I told Tyler the other day that pregnancy is a lot like marriage you can't explain it until you have been in it!! I already feel a hugh connection to my little one and thank God every single day for giving me this wonderful gift!!

Our first stop was to my mom's store that she owns. Her and my grandma were both there so we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to tell them. I sat down and started going through my calendar and told them I was just trying to get my year planned out. I told them that we might have to do something different for Thanksgiving this year. Of course they asked why, and I said because I might be in the hospital. At first I don't think they really understood but it hit them soon enough!! I said your going to be a grandma and great grandma!! They were so excited!! My mom almost passed out and my grandma just cried it was so exciting!! Our next stop was to see Tyler's mom at her work. I let him plan how he wanted to tell her. We stopped by the store and bought a baby bib and put it in a little bag. She hadn't been feeling well lately so we told her that we got her a little gift to cheer her up. She opened the bag and her first words were "nuh uh" and I said yep! She started to cry and go tell everyone that she was going to be a grandma!! We then called the rest of our family and friends and told them the GREAT news!! Everyone was just as excited as we were!! We are so excited to be able to share our joy of having a child with all those that we love!!

Well it's official... we're having a baby!! We found out the great news after taking a home pregnancy test on Thursday, March 18th, 2010. The first test we took, the positive line was very faint, so of course we had to get an expensive digital one just to be sure! After working all day I came home and took the test. Me and Tyler waited patiently for 3 minutes for the results and... pregnant!! We were SO excited all we could do is just giggle!! We still wanted to go to my family doctor just to make sure and to get a professionals opinion. So I called and made an appointment for 9:30 Friday morning. She confirmed that I was pregnant and that everything looked great!!
